DESCRIPTION:The European Economic Congress (EEC 2026) is one of Central Europe’s most important business and policy debate platforms. The 18th edition will take place on 22–24 April 2026 in Katowice\, Poland\, hosted at the International Congress Centre (MCK) and the iconic Spodek arena. The theme for 2026 is “The Power of Dialogue”\, highlighting the need for cooperation and open exchange in an era of economic\, geopolitical and technological uncertainty. \nEEC brings together business leaders\, public-sector decision makers\, academics\, experts and media for three days of discussions\, meetings and networking\, focused on how to build a competitive\, secure and sustainable economy. \nThe programme revolves around six key thematic streams: \n\nEurope Under Pressure – geopolitics\, EU solidarity\, Europe’s role amid global rivalry\nSovereignty & Competitiveness – reducing dependencies\, resilient supply chains\, nearshoring\, innovation\nResilience & Security – infrastructure\, defence\, crisis response\, cybersecurity and energy security\nEnergy\, Transformation & Investment – renewables\, nuclear\, grids\, storage\, costs and industrial competitiveness\nDigitalisation & Tomorrow’s Technologies – data as fuel\, AI\, automation\, robotics\, space technologies\nPeople\, Development & Balance – future skills\, labour market shifts\, demographics\, wellbeing and cohesion\n\nA key lead-in to the Congress is the EEC 2026 Prologue\, scheduled for 9 February 2026 at Sheraton Grand Warsaw Hotel\, setting the stage for the main April event. \nEEC 2026 is designed to turn dialogue into action—supporting partnerships\, better decisions and forward-looking strategies. Registration is expected to open in February 2026\, and organisers invite the community to contribute ideas for agenda topics and speakers.
